I'm getting the error "SKErrorDomain Error 2" when trying to In-App-Purchase on Mac. Why?

This error indicates that you have been prompted to sign into the Mac App Store to confirm your purchase but your have cancelled the login prompt. Entering your login details when prompted will resolve the issue.
