WKansepa Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 I dream of the day when it will be possible to do this in Designer: 1. To place and actually see a single image/artwork spanning two or more Artboards 2. Being able to export the Artboards and getting separate files Quote

Being able to export the Artboards and getting separate files And you can, already since v1, for example like this: create a "base artboard" and place your image/artwork in there convert the artboard to a Symbol create as many other artboards as you need; can also be any shape, then Layout → Convert to Artboard position them over the base artboard nest instances of the base artboard symbol into your other artboards editing/moving one of the images inside the symbols will edit/move all others as well export artboards as you see fit The nested image/artwork doesn't necessarily need to be in a "base artboard" but the base artboard will allow you to export the full artwork as well if needed. This workflow is necessary because artboards are not "pages" but actual vector objects = layers. Also, by using a symbol, you can have the "master" base artboard anywhere on the canvas outside the small artboards hierarchy, and be fully editable while all changes will be propagated to its instances.
