Yes that auto select CheckBox - button... It turns it self backon

 

1, When I create a new document 

2. When I reopen the app

3. Does not turn back on when I switch to the previous document

 

At least 3 let's me confirm this is a bug not a feature 🤤

This is because the 'Auto select' function is always enabled by default, as stated in the excerpt from the 'Selecting Objects' help guide below:

With it being a default setting in the app, it won't be remembered between app/document sessions, for example if you were to close and re-open the same document it won't remember the status of the setting, it will just default to checked as stated.

This is the same as other contextual tool settings, if you have a separate document tab open and turned it off in that document, it will remember the tool state because that document session is still open, it just won't remember it if you close and re-open the document or start a new app session as per the above.

Not as it currently stands, it's possible to default certain tools within the app but this is only really for object attributes, for example the quick shape tool's fill/stroke default can be changed.

Okay thanks found an actual bug this time, I opened a new topic GOD bless AF-Photo auto save almost lost 6 files 😭😇
