Affinity Designer | flow text to another frame

Recommended Posts

Affinity Designer is a good tool to work with, but like Adobe Illustrator, Apple Pages and some other applications, I'd like to have a text frame that can flow to another frame. I know that I can import text frames from Publisher, but I need the native feature so I can add more text frames if I need to.

Thank you

I doubt this will be implemented, but Serif certainly could surprise us.

Why not do the work in Publisher? That's the application that is targeted to users who need these more advanced text functions. And if you own both Designer and Publisher, you have access, within Publisher, to everything from Designer except the Export Persona. So you can do everything in Publisher except the Export Persona functions (if you need them).

Thank you, Walt

I like to have the unlimited space on Designer. It is hard if I want to convert all the files I've worked on from Affinity Designer to Affinity Publisher, and I don't know if I can have all the features and functions on Affinity Designer inside Affinity Publisher.

You're welcome.

But I don't understand that last comment. You can use your old files with Publisher. The file formats are interchangeable among the 3 Affinity applications; that's one of the main benefits of this suite, and the reason for the name.

Sorry, I revised what I wrote and deleted some of my sentences. Now I've found the last sentence doesn't make sense.

I wanted to say that It is very hard if I want to change my workflow files from Affinity Designer to Affinity Publisher.

I have to thank you because your last message made me open one of my Affinity Design files inside Publisher. It was fascinating! I will look more inside the Publisher to see if I can take advantage of that. 🙏❤️
