Adjustment panels wont stay on screen

Recommended Posts

Hi,

In Photo 2 I'm using adjustments on an image, but when I click on the layer thumbnail to get the adjustment panel to appear (so I can make some changes), it just blinks then disappears.  I've just upgraded to the latest version - 2.2.1 - and I've never had this before, so maybe it's a bug?  Or is there a setting I need to change?

I've attached a video clip showing what happens (no sound).

You don't use a multi-monitor setup there or? - If so, then panels possibly did lost their modal stay on top characteristics here.

Yes, I use two monitors - but how would that affect it?

Maybe the panel popups on the second screen instead, you have to check.

And why is it only happening now (after the latest upgrade)?

How do I fix this?

Possible settings mismatch from version to version, or the like, or a bug, who knows. - You can try out if resetting app settings might maybe with chance does change that behavior here ...

Hi @tallonius,

Thanks for your report!

I can confirm this is known issue with Adjustment dialogs when using 'Floating' document tabs, whereby the Adjustment controls are drawn behind the 'floating' canvas window.

Please navigate to Window > Arrange > Dock All, which will stop the canvases from 'Floating' over the UI and display the adjustment dialogs as expected.

I hope this helps :)

The issue "[Win] Adjustment windows pop up behind floated documents instead of above." (REF: AF-335) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2279".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
