Affinity Photo and Designer, both version 1 and 2, fail to start every time

I have Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.  Both fail to start every time now.  They previously worked fine.  I downloaded the trial version of Affinity Photo 2 and it also fails every time.  On startup the Affinity loading window opens, then the main Affinity window opens (the Affinity loading window does not close), then nothing happens, and the title of Affinity Photo changes to "Not Responding" and stays that way for at least a day.

This is on Windows 10.

Could you please try copying the attached file to the following location and overwriting the existing file. This will switch the rendering mode to WARP which should help you launch the app.

"C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0\Settings\PerformancePreferences.xml"
