[FIXED IN 2.3] [KNOWN ISSUE] Developing certain RAW files on macOS Sonoma force defaults to use Apple Core engine

Recommended Posts

Following the release of macOS Sonoma, our team have identified an issue in Affinity Photo, where the Apple Core RAW Engine is used regardless of the user settings within Develop Assistant.

This means that RAW images may appear slightly differently than expected, if you usually use the Serif LABs RAW engine.

Equally, you will find that Lens Correction control cannot be manually changed in the Lens Studio when developing your RAW files, as the app is auto-applying the Apple Core engine correction.

Our development team are aware of this issue and we're working to resolve it as soon as possible - unfortunately we're not aware of any workaround for this issue at this time, our apologies.

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

The issue "[macOS] Develop Lens Correction does not function on macOS Sonoma" (REF: AF-513) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.3.0.2094".
This fix is already available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
