Some icc profiles not being detected/shown inside Affinity Photo Soft Proof Adjustment

Recommended Posts

I have several icc profiles from an online Print Service that I have used in the past.  There are 4 profiles for C type  and 7 for Giclee. All in attached zip

I copied these files into Windows/System32/spool/drivers/color

Capture One shows them all for soft proofing.

Affinity (latest version) does not show all - for c type it only offers me the Fuji Pearl.  Can anyone try them and tell me if they have same issue please. FYI the Profiles are from https://www.theprintspace.co.uk/

I have rebooted re started Affinity etc all the usual stuff

I tested them on macOS and all of them work in v1.10.6 but the three selected ones in this screenshot won't appear in 2.2.0 so there is an issue with them. This is probably related to the other colour management issue so hopefully fixing one will fix both.

Hi @robbo56,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

Thanks for your report! I concur with Mike above, as these profiles also are detected within V2.1.1 correctly, so appears to be linked to the known issues with reading colour profiles in v2.2.

do we have any idea as to timescale for a fix?

This issue is logged with our development team and we're working to resolve this ASAP, as we're aware many users are experiencing issues in 2.2 due to this. Unfortunately we don't yet have a concrete timescale for this, our apologies.

The issue "Unable to correctly set colour profile in Doc Setup> Colour" (REF: AF-360) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.1.2052".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
