[FIXED IN 2.2.1] [KNOWN ISSUE] Changing the Colour Profile under Document Setup > Colour is not retained correctly.

Recommended Posts

Since the release of Affinity 2.2, our team has identified an issue with the apps correctly reading externally installed ICC profiles.

As part of the 2.2 update, we implemented a fix to attempt to better handle ICC profiles that contain accented characters in their name, and this seems to have had an unexpected knock-on effect for other installed ICC profiles that don't include such characters - though it does not affect all installed ICC profiles.

When setting a documents colour profile through Document Setup > Colour, you may find that the selected Colour Profile isn't retained, does not appear in the list, appears more than once in the list, or the profile name applied does not match the expected results of the profile.

The failure to correctly understand these profiles/profile names causes the Profile list to appear in the incorrect order in-app for some users, and when selecting one of these profiles the app may silently fall back to a previously selected/default profile, causing any of the above reported issues to occur.

Our team are aware of this issue and we're working to resolve this as soon as possible. Currently the suggested workaround is to revert back to the previous update, 2.1.1, if required.

If you are still experiencing issues regarding this, please create a New Thread and our team will be happy to assist.
