Gafrad
I do not know if this is a bug or user ignorance. When I try to create a new text frame, it always defaults to some horrible font, often bold and sometimes unreadable with inane attributes. I try to create a new text frame with the the Text Frame tool after highlighting the desired text style but it doesn't provide the correct style. It also does not work if I create the frame then format it using the Move Tool or Inserting the Frame text tool in the box and clicking on the desired text. The only way I can get a properly behaving text frame is to copy an existing one. This problem goes back to Publisher 2.1. I but persists in 2.2. I use a Mini mac 13.4.1. Does "often / sometimes" mean that multiple new created text frames get created in varying styles? What if you press the button "Revert defaults" in the Toolbar, does it reset an unwanted style of a new created frame? If not, what style do you get if you first choose in menu "Edit" -> "Defaults" -> "Factory Reset" and then create a new text frame? Gafrad
Thanks thomaso. The revert defaults did it. Must have changed that inadvertently some time ago.
