IDML file not importing into Affinity Publisher & how to swap images?

Windows 11 High Spec Desktop

Can't import idml files into Publisher. I've included a fitest.idmlle here for others to try. Please let me know if it works. 

I've tried simple idml files with just images and idml files with just text. None seem to be working. 

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth switching from Indesign to Affinity.

My other question is how do I swap images between picture frames. If I'm designing a photo album, how do I swap images from one picture frame to another?

Hi Oldmanaffinity,

This file in its current state isn't compatible with Affinity however if I open it in InDesign and then re save as IDML it opens fine. Do you know how the file was originally created? To swap an image you should just need to select the image in the frame and then hit replace from the context tool bar.

It was created in Smart Albums. It opens in VivaDesigner but not affinity. I could use the export pdf option in SmartAlbums but then all my images aren't imported as framed photos in affinity. 

Thanks for the tip regarding swapping photos. But it's not ideal.
