2.2.0 prompt still appearing

Recommended Posts

I'm a little confused by the update prompt on all packages today (19 September), as I thought I'd already updated everything to 2.2.0, yet now I'm being offered an update.... to 2.2.0! What's going on? Should it be 2.2.1? 🙂

Just now, Return said:

Perhaps you downloaded the msix versions and are using the msi/exe version before or vice versa?
Always download the version you already have installed.

That might be it. I did install the msix versions originally, but subsequently I always update from the prompt on program startup.

Hi @weegiegrum,

I can confirm this is a consequence of us previously releasing the 2.2 update prematurely to some users, as covered here:

Any users that had installed (or apps that had cached the knowledge) of this update may see the dialog prompting to update from 2.2.0 to 2.2.0 as you've shown.

Please select the Install option as normal and allow the app to install the update - this will ensure you are on the latest release version (.2005) and this prompt should then not appear again, until we release the next official update.

I hope this helps :)
