Develop Personal - Overlay Gradient Tool

If it doesn't work to apply more than one gradient there from the Develop Persona, then develop the image and apply multiple gradients from the Photo Persona instead.

Curious, but why would it not work?

Creating 3 gradients in APh v1 Dev Persona and then applying all those 3 gradients together on an image in the Dev Persona, doesn't work for me either.

Seems to work fine for me in V2 but I have not tested it in V1. Edit: Just tested in V1 & it seems to work fine there as well.

Then you may want to instruct the OP how to do that with multiple setup gradients there.

Addon:  retried under V1 again and now it works, strange something must have been blocked during my first tryout.

I just used the Add Gradient Overlay button at the bottom of the Overlay panel to add more gradient overlays, selected each one in turn, & then used the Overlay Gradient Tool to give each of them an overlay.

Of course, nothing visible happens until/unless I change something like say the exposure or whatever for each of the gradients.

Ive tried it numerous times and it still doesn't work.

1- In the Develop module, apply a Gradient Overlay Tool to an image.

2- Go to Basic Panel to apply an adjustment

3- Overlay panel shows Gradient Overlay added.

4- Use Gradient Overlay tool again on another part of image. First Gradient Overlay disappears.

5- Overlay Panel shows only one Gradient overlay.

6- However if I use the Overlay Paint tool in between then I can have a use a second Gradient Overlay tool. Cannot use the Gradient Overlay tool back to back.

What am I missing?

Did you added, selected and used another created gradient entry (via the Add button in the Overlays panel) for that then, or did you just tried to reuse one and the same Gradient Overlay entry? - Add additional Gradient Overlays first in the Overlays panel and select another one in order to apply multiple gradients here!

After I applied the first Overlay gradient, I clicked on the Overlay Gradient tool in the left panel to select it again.

That would just use one and the same Overlay Gradient and alter that single one available in the Overlays Panel. - I've already shown you what to do in the video above, create another Gradient entry in the Overlays Panel, select it and then modify that then with the Gradient Tool. For additional Gradients repeat that process of adding gradients to the Overlay Panel first via it's bottom "Add" button and then selecting the new created one in the Overlays Panel and afterwards modifying it with the Gradient Tool!
