I want to put a gradient on a texture so that the texture is still visible and not covered by the color.

I know how to change the complete color so that you can see the texture, but I want to do it with a gradient, which I can't manage somehow.

Look at the picture below. The blue one still has texture, and the one with the gradient didn't.

Hi @Kev_,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

I'm not 100% certain of your document layer type, but you may wish to try an FX Gradient Overlay with the Blend Mode set to Hue -

I hope this helps!

I already tried that, but it didn't give me the exact result. I can send another example of how it should look if it should work (the picture below doesn't have a gradient). (Also below is the picture where you have the gradient but without the texture.)image.png.b71a9f30fb4897c4298c3881ffde4271.png

Sorry to hear that - are you able to attach a copy of your Affinity document, so that I can test using this rather than guessing as to your file/layer structure please?

If you'd like a private upload link for the file, please don't hesitate to ask :)

Thanks for that!

You could duplicate the existing Recolour Adjustment, then with your Pixel Selection active apply a Gradient Mask to the top Adjustment layer, allowing you to selectively apply the yellow colour over the orange, whilst retaining the texture beneath -

Does this achieve what you are hoping please? :)
