Uwe Nordbruch Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 (edited) I have created extensive documents with 2.1.1. Last there was supposedly an update to 2.2 that I performed. With this version I continued to edit the documents. After a crash elsewhere, I restored an image and now had 2.1.1 on the disk again. Unfortunately, I can now neither edit my documents nor update to a regular 2.2. What can I do? Edited August 20, 2023 by Hardos
GarryP Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Welcome to the forums @Hardos Please see this FAQ thread: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/190017-affinity-22-update-notification-error/ (Basically you will not be able to open the V2.2 documents until V2.2 comes out ‘for real’.)

Uwe Nordbruch Posted August 20, 2023 Author Posted August 20, 2023 Thanks for the quick info. Are there already estimates when the 2.2 will be out? I would save myself the manual copying of individual fragments from the documents from 2.2 to 2.1

I would save myself the manual copying of individual fragments from the documents from 2.2 to 2.1 The last guess I saw from Serif staff last week was (I think) 3-5 weeks at that time, so maybe 2-4 weeks now. They have stopped adding new features now, and are concentrating on fixing bugs. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop 1: Windows 11 Pro 24H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
