Rudantu
Two issues make Designer suck for pixel selections, when artboards are in use. Reason 1 - If you have many artboards in your document, even choosing a pixel selection tool can crash the file. - I believe this is because Designer wants to consider the entirety of the document, even the space between artboards, from the very top-left XY to the bottom right XY coordinate. For large documents, this phase takes so long that it is essentially a freeze/crash. -Workaround: take your artboard into a seperate file and do your work there, then bring it back into your main file. Reason 2, If your high-res image (say, 2000x2000) is resized into a small artboard, say 100x100, your pixel selections are only made at 100x100 fidelity. -Workaround: take your image, set it to 100% scale, do your selections/masking work, then scale it back down to size. 🫤 Return 1 Quote →MacOS (Latest), M1 Max Mac Studio, Designer
