Affinity Photo 2.2.0

Recommended Posts

A few days ago I got the message that a new version of the products was available. I installed it for Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher (so, now I'm on version 2.2.0) for these products. A day or so later I wanted to upgrade Affinity Designer too but for this it was said that the latest version is 2.1.1. On the forum I found out that the release of 2.2.0 was a 'kind of mistake' (may happen). My question: "what to do with the installed 2.2.0 versions ?". Do I keep these or should I revert back to the 2.1.1 version (and how to do so). Or wouldn't it be better to call the next - official - release 2.2.1 then so that we get the upgrade notification pop-up ? Thanks for the clarification.

We would recommend the steps in this FAQ post.

It does depend on the files you have saved since you updated, as they will only be editable in 2.2.0 builds and above, so would need you to either (A) keep 2.2.0 installed or (B) go back to 2.1.1 and install the latest 2.2.0 beta for those documents
