@OscarUK

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

Thanks for your report, which was moved to the beta forum, as in this case it affects a beta build, although we are aware that the release build also crashes doing this.

None of the Affinity Suite has yet been adapted for the problems experienced by users of macOS 14 Sonoma betas. Many of the problems will likely be addressed by Apple before it is officially released, however we have looked at this particular crash that is affecting all beta users and made changes so that the next beta we released (so any build > 2.2.0.1903) will attempt to avoid this crash and some other Sonoma specific problems.

Hello Patrick

Really appreciate the prompt reply, I do apologise for posting in the wrong forum I thought was on the beta Mac subforum,

will be more careful next time,

Once again thank you for your prompt reply and look forward to the next betas

Out of curiosity all my previous brushes etc should be reinstalled or will be there, did not work much after the crash so I do not know for sure

best regards

You are asked if you want to port/copy your Release content (brushes etc) to beta when you start the beta version of application, or it can be done again at any time using

Edit Settings > Beta Program > Copy Settings & Content from Release Apps

mmm

Did not ask me, and wanted to try without the old one installed so uninstalled the others already, so the option is not available anymore

but since is not letting me do pretty much anything without a crash will wait for the next beta and test it in full then

Thank you for the help

Oh,  I wonder if Sonoma's security is undermining that function, I'll get that checked

The issue "[macOS Sonoma] App crash when clicking outside Window" (REF: AFB-7966) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1925".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
