Designer export hanging without ever exporting to multipage single PDF

Recommended Posts

Using the [file] > [export] option from the vector persona.  I selected 12 artboards seeking to publish a 12-page pdf.  My file has never been exported.  Even left it overnight.  Originally posted this incorrectly under V@ windows vs V2 windows BETA...

Hi lake.fx,

Unfortunately the document you are trying to export has many large artboards with lots of curves that are just on the cusp of what the PDF format can support (physical size wise).

The PDF format itself has a maximum document size of 14,400x14,400pixels which at 72DPI is 200x200inches. At 300DPI this is only 48x48inches, which does seem to be the max dimension of each artboard.

Because each object in each artboard is getting rasterized it is taking a far too many resources, disk space and time to export.

With that said however I do agree that what you are trying to export should be achievable so I will be logging it with development to see what can be done.
