DXO Photolab6 & Affinity Photo 2 issue

Recommended Posts

I downloaded the exe file from Affinity so I can point DXO to the exec file, so far everything seems OK, when I export the DXO file "without any adjustments done to the file" in TIFF format, it exports it to Affinity Photo 2 just fine, the image shows up as it should. As soon as I add adjustments to the image in DXO, like noise reduction and a few others, when I export it to Affinity Photo I don't see the image, just a black box where the image should be. Does anyone else have this issue. OS used is W11, graphics card Intel ARC a770 16GB version & UHD 770 which comes with the processor "Nvidia has lost their minds with the pricing of their GPU's".

Update:

From the looks of it, it's an Intel GPU driver issue, when I disable the GPU in DXO and have the software work with the CPU only "it's a bit slower but not too bad", the TIFF file exports just fine after the adjustments where made to the file, adjustment or no adjustments, the TIFF file exports to Affinity 2 just fine.

My other question is, will the Affinity Phot 2 exec. file that I downloaded from the software download page in my software purchase history work when Affinity pushes out updates to Affinity Photo 2, will there be an updated exec. file with every new software update, or will the current exe, file with future AP 2 software updates.

Thanks again.

@cybertec69 During opening the app checks to see if any updates are available and will prompt you if you would like to download and install it. This will update the version installed on your system, there is no need to download the exe file.

However if you uninstall the app and want to install it again, this is where you will need to download it again from your store account. The download will be the latest version available at that time.
