Filter Rauschen hinzufügen/ adding noise

Recommended Posts

Hello:-), the Filter "Add noise" doesn't do what I want anymore:-), that is...if I apply it, the added noise is displayed for a few seconds before it disappears again. Saving with noise is completely impossible. Can anyone help? Then already many thanks and greetings from Moana

Are you using the Add Noise Filter or the Add Noise Live Filter?

If you are using the non-Live Add Noise Filter, did you remember to Apply the filter rather than just closing the dialog?

Both seem to be working fine for me on Windows 10.

Which OS are you using?

Can you supply a video showing what happens?
Can you supply an example document where we can see this happening for ourselves?

Also, are you applying the Noise while viewing the image at 100% Zoom, or are you zoomed in further?

Thanks a lot @GarryP and @walt.farrellfor your quick answers!:-) Unfortunately it does not matter wether I use the non live or the live add noise filter, the effect is the same. On my display it shows the added noise ( no difference between closing the dialog or apply )  as soon as I want to save the picture it makes as if by ( black! ) magic...wush...and the added noise is gone. I like this effect for my black and white pics and I am really unhappy that ist does not work anymore:-(. I have used this effect without any problems until yesterday, this is really mysterious. Perhaps I should mention that I have  Luminar Neo installed as a plug in, this program has got some nice presets also with noise effects, and even with Luminar the pictures cannot be saved with a noise effect. So the problem might not be caused by affinity, but by something else, really difficult to find out...I appreciate your kind assistance but I am afraid it could be difficult for you to help me...sending best regards....

Some screenshots, or a screen recording, or a sample .afphoto file might help us figure out your problem.
