Hi @NMB,

Are you able to upload one of the Designer files that you're experiencing issues with so we can take a look at what might be causing the problem?

If you'd prefer not to upload your file/s to the public forum you can reply to this post requesting a private Dropbox link to upload your files to so someone from the moderation or development team can take a look and report back.

Hi @NMB,

The good news is that both files open instantly for me so the files are fine...

A couple of things to try, one at a time with Designer initially closed...

  1. Delete the mru.dat file located here /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer 2/mru.dat and then see if your files open.

  2. Do a factory reset of Designer by holding the Ctrl key while launching Designer. When you see the Clear User Data screen with the first three options checked, click the Clear button, then let Designer launch and then see if you can open your files.

Let us know whether either of these options makes any difference and if they allow you to open your files.
