JayFree Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I have been trying to figure out why Designer is performing so slow right now. Nothing has changed with my setup and I have plenty of resources. Every time I drag a gradient across the artboard, the program locks up and I have to wait at least 4-5 minutes for the beach ball to stop or I have to force quit the application. I also noticed that when I zoom in on an artboard or work file, the program never adjusts the image. It just stays blurry. Affinity Designer 2 (2.1.0) Quote

I'm using the regular OpenGL under those settings. Quote
v_kyr Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Might be some bug related to ADe running under MacOS Ventura here then. You can check if tha latest Affinity Designer 2.1.1 beta does behave differently and maybe better here. Staff DWright Posted June 15, 2023 Staff Posted June 15, 2023 Can you please try turning off metal and let me know if this improves the response time when you drag the gradient on the artboard Quote
