Affinity Designer – Auto-select Default setting

Is there a way to set the new function "Auto-select > Objects" as default?

Where can I find the "Default" setting, I can't find it in the Preferences?

I don’t think there is a setting for this in Preferences.

I believe that, currently, the “Auto-select” setting works on a ‘document-session-level’ and therefore needs to be set individually (if needed) for each document which is opened/created.

This functionality was new only in 2.1 so maybe this will change later.
