I'm using Affinity Publisher 2 version 2.1.0, and I'm facing the following problem since previous versions.

At least 5 times a day, while I'm working in Affinity, creating lines, texts or any other activity, the mouse cursor in Affinity becomes the artistic text tool, and the software is completely unusable.

It is necessary to restart the computer, as it does not close through the task manager, does not accept the "ALT+F4" command or any attempt to close it. And thus making me lose minutes, sometimes hours of work.

I have already uninstalled the program and reinstalled it several times, I use Windows 10 Pro 21H2 as the operating system A Ryzen 5 5600G, with 16GB of memory, plus SSD.

I notice that Affinity consumes something close to 3GB of Ram at certain times, but even with other programs running in parallel, it doesn't exceed 60% of Ram memory usage.

Anyone else facing this problem? Or do you have any tips about the solution.

King Regards.

Welcome!

You should edit and resave your above posting in terms of the applied text size, as that actually in that pasted over text size, needs massive horizontal back- and forth scrolling in order to be readable at all.

Could you try resetting your windows font settings to default. (please back up your font directory first). It sounds likely you have a corrupted font causing this kind of crash.

windows 10 font settings in control panel

Restore default font settings button in Windows 10

I just performed the test with the configuration in WARP, the crashes continue to occur. Whether hardware acceleration is turned on or off, freezes occur the same way.

Could you please post your crash reports using the following guide:
