2 Questions: How do you change the bullet color but leave the text color alone? Is there a way to add a layer effect to bullets?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have 2 questions:

1)  I am trying to change the bullet color from red to black, but leave the text red color.  I looked at the paragraph styles: Bullets and Numbering but, I cannot find a way to change the bullet color.

2)  Is there a way to make the bullets 3D but not Also is there a way to add a layer effect to the bullets only?

I would appreciate any suggestions.

First, you define a Character Text Style with the characteristics you want for the bullet (font, size, color, etc.).

Next, in the Paragraph panel or the Paragraph Text Style (whichever you're using) you'll find that in the Bullets and Numbering options one of the fields specifies the style to use with the bullet. You specify the Character Text Style you created above.

I think you would need to implement the Bullet as a pinned inline graphic. Or possibly a separate pinned inline Text Frame or Artistic Text object. Then it would be a separate layer.
