Hanna Kandelsdorfer Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 I installed affinity publisher version 1 a year ago, so the file I worked on was on an older version of the programm. My laptop crashed and I can not operate it at all. I saved the afpub file in a cloud so the file is available. I installed Affinity Publisher version 2 on a new laptop. However, it is the free test trail, because when I go to lisences it says that I don't have a lisence, even though it worked on my previous computer. When I open the file in the version 2 of affinity publisher all of the pictures are blurred. It says that some of the resources are missing. I was thinking that I maybe need to open the file with a older version of Affinity Publisher. However, I don't know the lisence key so I can't install an older version to find out if that is the problem. Quote

Where did you purchase your previous version of Publisher? You could have purchased it from the Affinity Store, or (depending on your OS) from the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store. You will only have a license showing in the Store where you made the V1 purchase, and you will have to login to that Store using the same account as you used for the initial purchase. Additionally, for the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store, you will need to look in your Store account for previously purchased programs that are not currently installed. How you do that depends on which Store you're using. 54 minutes ago, Hanna Kandelsdorfer said: When I open the file in the version 2 of affinity publisher all of the pictures are blurred. The missing resources were Linked files, and Publisher could not find them in the same location (which makes sense, since you're on a different machine). You can use the Resource Manager in Publisher to locate your original image files, and relink them, so they can be used in the document.
