It's been almost five months since this camera released and there is still no raw support for this camera. I know I'm not the only one frustrated by this. I get that Panasonic is not on the top of the list but if I had known it would get ignored I would have never bought this software. Now that I have waited it out this long for an update and still no RAW support I guess I have to spend more money elsewhere and make sure to not suggest this product anymore.

When will Panasonic Lumix S5II support be added? I thought Affinity Photo is software for professionals, but how can I work when there is no support even half a year after release? (plus when it's almost the same as the S5 mark I)

Short version: when it is supported by the underlying libraw engine (see https://www.libraw.org/node/2753), or if you or on a Mac, then alternatively Apple's RAW engine (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213267), as both engines are supported by the Affinity products on the Mac.

I own FastRawViewer from libraw's authors, and it supports the Lumix S5-IIX today.

As I understand it, folks buying a commercial license should get early access to new features. Insofar as y'all are building a commercial product, I'd hope you'd have such a contract?

thank you charles, I saw it but I was hopping a better camera raw support without dng converter.

I'm hoping for that too, but unless Serif buys a commercial license to libraw we're only going to get it after the S5-II update comes out in the public release. Major releases of the open source version are only "every year and a half to three years", and the last one was December 2022, so we have at least six months to wait.
