Hi @Vanek and welcom.

After creating the layer you can resize it with the handles to your needs.

Create a pattern layer from selection in Select  Layer menu to get the result you need.

Also you could create a rasterized rectangle of the size you need and create pattern from this. If you need to merge art to it, you can merge down into it but be sure to Rasterize first before doing so. Or if the art is the correct size, create layer from it straight away.

I have no idea why they limit it numerically in the create pattern layer fields when it is still possible programmatically.
