Windows Program Icons Showing up Wrong

Hello,  I have the latest Windows Beta Programs and I'm still noticing the icons are showing up with the wrong program used. The file started

in Illustrator then I brought it into Affinity Designer V2 Beta and saved the file but it shows up on my desktop as Affinity Publisher??

I have also noticed too,  that if you double click on a photo file on Windows desktop, the file will open up in Affinity Designer rather than Affinity Photo?

Hi Gerard,

Its likely that the default file associations are somehow incorrect and Publisher has been set as the default app for opening .Afdesign files etc. The following article should show how to change this. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-change-file-associations-in-windows-2624477

Hello,

I went into the apps and made sure the file extension is associated with the proper program, the file icons looked fine. But, after double clicking on a Affinity Photo fileit went right back to having an Affinity Publisher icon. The Affinity Programs are the only programs I have on Windows having an icon problem or opening with the wrong program.

I have not noticed this so much on my iMac programs.  Thank You for your reply.
