After a windows update, all the links/file sI had on the desktop disappeared.

First time in 30 years 😕

However I want to restore the links to Affinity Photo, Designer and Publisher 2.0, I had on the desktop, how can I do since the Windowsapp folder  is blocked to the user?

Hi @Tormy,

If the apps were installed via the .MSIX even if you don't have read permissions on your local user account to access the 'Windowsapps' folder you should still be able to create a desktop shortcut for the app by opening run command (Windows Key + R) and then enter in the following: Shell:AppsFolder and then press Enter. This should open up the 'Applications' folder in explorer where you'll find the Affinity apps, you can then right click and create a shortcut on the desktop for each app.

If you're having issues with this, could you possibly provide us with screenshots of any errors you recieve for running this command?
