Hi In Affinity Designer, while Im' applying the gradient color, I can't find the way to make it Vertical instead of horizontal. I used the fill tool. Can you help me please? EDIT: I found the way just select the gradient tool on the left side and rotate the points. OMG in Serif there should be a Policy: "the less intuitive the better"

yes it worked. although when I exported I setup the export in this way here below. So not clue why it had exported 300 ... indeed as you can see, I named the fiels 96DPI just by reading it form that window ... however fixing it inside the doc is working

Please this is the 96DPI SVG created into Designer and imported in KiCAD ... it should be 10 cm .. it is 31.5 cm instead. I attach also the project. I got identical issues in DXF In attachment the SVG and the DXFs as well. PROBLEM1.dxf PROBLEM.afdesign 100mm.svg PROBLEM2.dxf

Thank yo a zillion for the hints. however I tired with this SVG in attachment and I got the same errors. And I just have the Strokes only TWO_SHAPES.dxf

With your files, The only one I got smaller is the 72 dpi SVG. Try multilayers in DXF please and see if you get the errors I got and shown on my previous intervention

The issue is with SYMBOL EDITOR. Ah yes now there is teh DXF. I will experiment it as well. Right EDIT: by importing in KiCAD a DXF made in Affinity this was the original non-sense-just-to-test draw

as I said: it doesn't matter if you export at 340 DPI or 72 ... the imported size is always the same. Affinity I think has something missing. but I have not clue: what.

By doing the SAME operations with Inkscape, when I import the SVG in KiCAD: sizes are kept. thus it's 1:1 What's occurring with Affinity Designer export, please?

Thank you guys. I was not aware about the "expand stroke". It worked.

I just drew a rectangle. On top of it I drew a thick line and I wanted to subtract it to the rectangle, creating a slot that is wide as the thickness of the line. But all what I get is: the line disappears and the rectangle remains untouched (and the layer of the line disappears also)

I drew 2 Donuts: One fatter the other one slimmer, each of them have it's own color. I added them together: one of them disappear. Exactly the one layered underneath is kept, the othe rone is removed? Why? It's Addition, not subtruction or else. EDIT: in attachment the source file I want to add the 2 donuts here below in the first screenshot. But after the ADD, the result is like in the second screenshot EDIT 2: Expected result: the 2 donuts are summed together it means: the dark one overlapped to the whitish one. Donuts.afdesign

yes cumbersome solution. Was it to difficult activate cropping by holding down ALT and drag? Always need to get help in internet for a banal action liek this and then the solution is a workaround that's not even practical
