So annoying then when you drag an image in to a document from the Finder (and I guess Windows Explorer), Infinity displays it as a new document. I want that image to be imported into the document I dragged it in to, just like any other app would (Adobe, MS Office, Pages…). If I really wanted the image to be opened as its own document, I could drag it to the Dock icon (macOS) or the title bar (Windows).

I couldn’t attach the file because it has confidential stuff in. I tried copying and pasting the object into a new file I could attach, but it was fine there with handles round the edge of the item. But when I copied and pasted that back in to the main document, it had the massive box again. I then realised that simply creating a new pixel layer creates a massive box. I.e. new pixel layer, then select another layer, then select the new layer. Massive box as in the screenshot even though nothing on the layer. But after clicking around a bit more, now it just works: a new pixel layer doesn't create some massive big bounding box, and pasting in that graphic from the other document displays as expected. So I still have no idea how the issue occurred in the first place and thus how to avoid it in the future.

I have a pixel layer in Photo of a small blob as shown. When I click on it with the Move tool, I get a massive bounding box! What have I done to cause this? It has put a blue box around the actual content as well – that's where are I want the handles to be so I can more easily resize. How do I get it to do that?

Obviously you can crop the overall document/canvas of an Affinity Photo document. But what if I’ve brought a photo in to that document and want to crop or move it around within its box, just as I would in say Publisher? I can’t see a straightforward way of doing that other than manually marqueeing bits round the edge and deleting, or doing the crop on the image elsewhere before copying and pasting in.

macOS 12.5.1 on both a 2019 MacBook Pro and a 2017 iMac, latest version of Publisher. Crash report attached. I haven't seen the same problem with Designer or Photo, though I use them far less. Untitled 2.txt

Still after 2 years getting the print dialog freeze. Possibly some combination of using the "Current page" option and printing for the 2nd time having saved changes in the document. Haven’t quite worked out a foolproof way to make it freeze, I work 70 hours a week and don’t really have time to mess about trying to find a problem I didn’t create.

I’m getting rather fed up with having to force quit Designer/Publisher/Photo when I try to print – it must have been buggy for a year now. How far up is it on the to-do list? Example: go to print, select current page, print fine. Go to print again, freezes. Only Affinity software. Not specific to printer as I have two different ones.

In InDesign, I can select a frame and go to Corner Effects to add rounded corners or various other fancy corners. I can’t see a way of doing this in Affinity Publisher. I could use the rounded rectangle tool, but I already have a rectangular text box. I just want to round off the corners. I did see another post about going to the Designer persona and using the Corner Tool there but I couldn't get it to work and besides, that’s several steps more complicated than InDesign.
