SANG Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Hi, Layers in Tiff files suddenly go missing. I started using AP recently. 1. Exported in Tiff files. 2. Checked 'Save Affinity layers' 3. Unchecked 'Don't export layers hidden in Export Persona.' 4. Export The layers were present when I reopened the Tiff files to see that they were there. The next day, I turned on my iMac, launched AP, and opened the Tiff files, the layers disappeared. Only the Background layer exists. This is the second time it has happened. I had spend too much time re-editing those files. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong and if I could recover those layers. Thank u for your help. Sang Quote

Yes. I'm using Digikam as DAM. I did click on a few thumbnails in Digikam. Could that be causing the problem? It seems all the Tiff files in the same folders are affected. Thank you:) Quote
SANG Posted April 22, 2023 Author Posted April 22, 2023 Hi, I think I know what went wrong. I really needed Digikam only as a DAM. I have no intention to edits images in Digikam. I rated stars on my files and clicked on a few images here and there. These simple tasks (even rating stars) is enough to flattened those layered files. Lesson learned. Thank you all:) Sang walt.farrell 1 Quote
