HI!

I am working on the macOS Montgomery (1,8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5). Since a couple of weeks, I am having trouble with the following:

1. Some files created in V1 won't open in V2. I choose the file and "Open with" Affinity Designer V2. The programs states that there is file being loaded but it takes hours and it does not react afterwards.

2. When I try to copy Groups (i.e. Shapes with a background and text inside) from the Aff Designer V1 (or even from Aff Photo V2) to Aff Designer V2, the same happens. The shape won't copy and the program collapses. It does not react and I cannot use another function. I usually have to force quit the programme.

Is this a bug? Or this only happening to me?

I hope a solution is found soon! :-S

Hopefully you mean macOS Monterey (rather than Montgomery, that little known early version of macOS from 1887 - 1976) :)

Are you able to upload one of the problematic V1 Designer files so we can take a look to see if we can figure out what is causing the issue you're experiencing?

Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0
MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse
HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse
