There's a glitch where, when I type in a frame text box with overflow hidden and the text overflows the box, it jumps to a random far away location in the canvas. I've attached a screen recording.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a frame text box
2. make the box small
3. type some text and make it overflow
4. press the eye icon to hide overflow
5. delete all the text
6. type in the box again until the text starts to overflow

Hi @jvns,

I'm struggling to replicate this.  Which model iPad are you using and which keyboard?

Are you able to replicate the issue without the keyboard attached to your iPad?

Here's a screen recording of me reproducing it with the onscreen keyboard

Thanks for the recording.

I still haven't been able to replicate this and neither have 2 other Tech Support agents.   I take it you can replicate this with any Font and not just the one you are using in the screen recording?

So strange! Yes, I just tested with the Arial font and I can reproduce.

I wonder if it could be related to the fact that my document is huge (it has ~100 artboards in it)

I can't reproduce with just 1 artboard, but I tried creating a new document with over 100 artboards and can reproduce the bug in that document. I've attached the test document.

It might be important to do the edits somewhere in the middle of the document -- when it jumps, it seems to jump to the top left.

Thank you for the test file. I can replicate it with your file when editing the text box you added.  If I add my own text box, it works fine.  I've also been able to replicate this from scratch with the following steps:

  1. Start a new document with an artboard
  2. Add a text frame and add some words so you get the overflow and hide the overflow
  3. If I now duplicate the artboard a number of times
  4. If I now delete a word to remove the overflow and start typing, I get the same issue as you when the overflow starts.

It's very similar to another issue we have logged, but the recipe is slightly different, so I'll get this logged as a separate issue :)

Awesome! I know this sounds very niche but it's actually a huge issue for me (this glitch happens to me probably once every 5-10 minutes) and it would be amazing if it could be fixed.
