When i opened a file on my network server in Affinity Photo and try to start it when i don’t have access to the server, Affinity Photo gets stuck in an endless loop, trying to open the missing file. It looks like macOS is trying to re-establish the network connection and Affinity Photo is not recognizing that the file does not exist at the moment.

I can avoid this behaviour if i disable "reopen documents at startup" in the settings. But after a few weeks Photo enabled this settings again and i had no chance to change the setting because i couldn't launch Affinity Photo at all.

Same is with Affinity Designer and Publisher, but these interrupt the loop after a few attemps (but it still takes too long). There should be at least a time limit if a document cannot be found.

Hi @PeekayBionik welcome to the forums,

This is a known issue that is currently logged with the developers, there is an alternative workaround listed in the FAQ post below which details deleting the MRU.dat file to prevent this message from appearing, although if you connect to the network drive and open a file again and then disconnect, the .MRU.dat will need to be removed again.
