Affinity Publisher V1 keeps closing

I was working in Affinity Publisher for over an hour, when suddenly it closes when I make a new document (luckily saved everything). Now I can not keep the program open for more than a few minutes. In those minutes I can do everything, including saving. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I checked if everything is up to date

If you hold control when you start it up, you can reset to factory defaults.

Try the reset as @RichardMHhas suggested and if that doesn't help, its likely going to be something in the file you are working on causing the issue and we can look at getting a copy of that from you.

Thank you for your advice. The problem seemed to be that there was too much images linked and it didn't like that (even without auto update). So for now I will just accept haaving very large files with embeded illustrations instead of linked
