Please Please... Provide some way to stroke a selection.

Stoking a selection is something  your customers have been requesting as an added feature in Affinity Photo for a very long time. Please, add this feature. It is the one thing I really miss now that I left Photoshop behind.

If you make a copy from the selection, paste it, and then add an Outline Effect to the pasted layer, with the Fill Opacity of the effect set to 0% you can achieve something that might be useful – see attached video.

Note that, as can be seen in the video, the underlying background image, the one that the effect has been applied to, is still ‘active’ as part of the effect so that you can edit it in various ways.
