schabotte Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I have a list of 50 items and I want them to be striped (i.e. #1 is a white background, #2 is a light gray background, #3 is white, etc.) I know I can do this with a table but the item descriptions are extensive and tables don't seem to flow nicely over multiple two column pages so I was hoping I could do the same effect with lists which do flow nicely. Can it be done? Thanks! Quote
thomaso Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Hi @schabotte, welcome to the Affinity Forums! It may depend on your list / the text structure details. For instance: Define two text styles with either a character or a paragraph background colour. Then define in "Next Style" the respective other style as the next style. A workaround would use separate objects for the background colours. For instance rectangles or single lines, duplicated via "power duplicate", possibly auto-aligned and/or using Symbols, and/or as master page object. schabotte Posted March 24, 2023 Author Posted March 24, 2023 (edited) Thanks so much. That is the effect I need. I really appreciate you supplying the video & sample afpub file. --- Just had a chance to apply the tutorial and it worked perfectly! Edited March 24, 2023 by schabotte lacerto 1 Quote
