Affinity Publisher Beta 2.1.0.1732: error exporting to PDF.

Good evening. As a user of the Beta program, I am reporting the following bug that is occurring on the Windows 10 operating system.

Affinity Publisher Beta 2.1.0.1732 : error exporting to PDF.

 

It is impossible to export to PDF and sometimes to other formats. When exporting a simple document, it gets stuck in an infinite loop

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the file! I can recreate the issue here. 

For some reason, this selected object in the attached screenshot is causing the app to get stuck whilst generating the PDF. If you set the Alignment to 'Align Stroke to Centre', it will stop the shape being expanded when exporting to PDF. The expand is where the hang is happening - PDFs cannot have any other stroke alignment other than centre, so the app will attempt to expand the shapes to make sure it looks the same as the user intended it.

I'll get it logged, to see if this hang can be prevented.

Indeed the problem has been solved. I am sincerely grateful for the explanation, besides that I have learned something that I did not know with your explanation.

I reiterate my thanks. Affinitty serif is the only software I use for my work.
