On googling, I have found this image on reddit done in PS, but can someone tell me how to do it in affinity please?

Lets say I want the same thing done to this wheat field but better with the lines properly shrinking inward to meet the vanishing point.. I know I can paste a mesh overlay and play with the warp tool but how do I map my own grid to suit the shape of each landscape? I will start with something simple first..

Hi True_Blue1878,

You may find the suggestions in the following post handy. I have attached a very crude example showing how I would force the grid to fit the landscape section your provided image by isolating the grass from the background and then clipping the grid layer to it. However getting the grid to conform to contours such as a mountain landscape etc will likely be considerably more difficult using Affinity you'll likely find the grid was actually drawn this way as opposed to being a flat grid forced to conform to a shape using editing tools. Using my example you should be able to select the grid layer and then alter the vanishing point by applying a perspective filter etc.

Thanks
C

Sorry forgot to mention I only have Affinity Photo v1.

I think those instructions are for designer? Someone there said its a lot quicker to do in Photo but I'll use the search function and see if I can find more info about what they're talking about.

Thanks a lot for your example. I really appreciate that you made that for me! But I get an error when trying to open it.. I think I need AP v2? I wish I could afford to upgrade. But even with the 25% off upgrade offer, I just can't do it right now :(

I'd eventually like to do complicated grids like you say, but for now flat and boring is fine to learn on. I have to think its possible though as the mesh tool allows you to set as many points as you need!

Cheers!
