On Affinity 2, when adding a levels adjustment layer and adjusting the white level slider, to the left then right, I’m noticing lag in the slider position as it is catching up with the mouse position.

I'm running an i7 @ 3.6 MHz, with 16gb Ram and a Nvidia 3060 12Gb ram with hardware acceleration enabled….

Any idea why this could be happening ?

cheers

Hi Storrya,

Does this happen with one specific file or is it all files? If you disable hardware acceleration does this problem continue to occur?

Thanks
Callum

Hi @Callum ,

It happens with all files and I have tried disabling hardware acceleration (OCL) and it is still the same.

What I can see though when looking at CPU usage in task manager is the cpu running up to about 80% utilisation…..

I could maybe video it happening if that would help …..if its possible to upload the video…

cheers

A video would likely help, provided its not too large you should be able to upload it directly to this forum however if you would rather not post it publicly I can provide a link to our DropBox. Out of interest in your performance preferences what do you have set in the renderer dropdown.

Hi @Callum,

please see attached video.

I have the renderer set to be my video card. The other option is warp which I have not tried.

Rendering performance is set to automatic, but I have also tried low and high performance, but it’s the same

Hi @Callum,

I have tried both MSI and exe files.

I noticed a 50% improvement in slider lag.

however, I accidentally noticed that the lag is reduced only when the navigator window is in use. If navigator is closed, the lag returns….. maybe the software guys could pin point….

I also checked non beta Affinity 2 and it also improves lag if navigator is open !

cheers
