I have existing plain svg file. When I open it in browser it looks like this: image.png.e6152af1afcff77fd0be07db335a03e6.png

but when opened in Affinity Designer it looks like this: image.png.a7305b81dc8683cf50d027a53336c474.png

Why is it different? How to fix it?

Affinity has misinterpreted the information, changing the stroke parameters on the number '6' curves to those set in Inkscape will get you the correct stroke.

You can change the stroke parameters on one of the '6' shaped curves and create a style from it, then apply that style to all of the other '6' shaped curves.

Are these documents downloaded Templated docs or created by you?

It would be easy to make these files in Affinity Designer, the horizontal lines can be created and added as an asset, the numbers can also be made into symbols so that you edit one and all replicated symbols will change. You can also save the symbol as an asset so that they are independently available for other documents you create.

If you are creating materials for teaching handwriting then these fonts, amongst others, might be useful:

Thanks @GarryP, these are great. I didn't pursue this since I asked the question, but I appreciate the material you provided
