Robert P Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 I designed an item and applied a perspective warp to a text layer. Everything worked well on the screen but, when I tried to print the document, both the print preview and the actual print discarded the warp. I tried putting all the layers into a single group, but that didn't work. In the end, all I could do was to export the warp layer into a jpg file, paste it into the document and hide the original layer. Has anyone else found this? I don't see much point in having the warp feature if it cannot be printed. I have attached screenprints of the afdesign file and the print preview afdesign file.docx print preview.docx Quote
Alfred Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 There seem to have been a number of problems with text warp in the current version of the app. Have you tried exporting to PDF ago see if the issue persists? 8 minutes ago, Robert P said: I have attached screenprints of the afdesign file and the print preview You’ve attached Word documents. Your screenshots will be more readily accessible if you attach them as PNG images so that they can be viewed directly in a web browser. Robert P Posted March 15, 2023 Author Posted March 15, 2023 Yes, I have found that if I export the whole document to pdf it will print properly with the the warp. But why should I have to do that? Quote
Alfred Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 You clearly shouldn’t have to do that, but at least you have a viable workaround until the bug is fixed. In any case, it’s helpful to see the output in a PDF viewer so that you can catch any errors before wasting paper and ink or toner.
