Hi dear Folks

In addition to the table of contents at the beginning of a large document with lyrics, I would like to insert another table of contents with alphabetical sorting at the end of the document. How is this possible in Publisher V2?

Thanks a lot

Hallo liebe Leute,

Vielen Dank

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

No, you would have to use an Index. Indexes are in alphabetical order. TOCs are in page number order.

Hi @Hoooray and welcome to the forum. Publisher offers an alphabetical Index feature which you'd typically add at the end of the document but you have to add each of the index marks. It doesn't offer an alpha-sorted TOC feature.

If you want an alpha-sorted TOC at the back of the document the easiest solution would be to copy the unsorted TOC text from the front of the document to another program, sort it there, and then paste it back into Publisher at the end of the document. Repeat these steps whenever you update the TOC.

Hi dear people,

I have now copied the existing table of contents into Word, sorted it alphabetically there and copied it back into Publisher.

But now the question is how I can set up the page numbering again as a hyperlink or an anchor (without having to do this laboriously for each page... 😉 ). Is that even possible?

Thanks a lot for your help!!!
