Chris90 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 (edited) Hello. My affinity designer file got corrupted and now its impossible to open it. It says that I'd use a file from a newer affinity version but thats not true. I saved some ideas, graphics, and sketches in that file. I used multiple artboards or however they are called. One artboard was an embedded pdf-document. In it there was a font, that I dont have installed on my computer. After diggin into and then going back to the main scene, that artboard suddenly was white showing nothing. I then saved it and closed affinity thinking it was just a smaller issue with displaying that pdf. But affinity wasnt able to open that file again. Maybe this description could help to fix that annoing bug. I attached the corrupted file. Which Operating System are you using? Windows 10 - latest Update Which version of Affinity did the file last get saved in? Designer 2.0.4 What drive type was the file last saved to (select more than one if needed)?Local disk Greetings Chris Edited March 14, 2023 by Chris90 dehskins 1 Quote
R C-R Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 On my Mac, the file will open in the latest AD v2 beta version (2.1.0.1713), but in version 2.0.4 it gets the same 'newer version' error. Maybe download the latest Windows beta version & see if that will open the file for you? Chris90 Posted March 14, 2023 Author Posted March 14, 2023 Thank you very much. Though I have not used that beta before, it seems to fix my problem with that corrupted file. Quote
