There's already buttons for select all, deselect and invert selection, so adding a "selection from layer" button to the group would be fantastic. ☺️

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Jolinar. :)

Why do we need yet another button? You can simply Cmd-click the thumbnail on a Mac, or Ctrl-click on Windows.
