KennyA Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 I am using Publisher 2.04, Windows 10 up to date patching, Adobe Reader 2023.001.20064 | 64 bit. I cannot export to pdf without losing design details. Colours affected too. Tried hardware accelaeration off and on -> no difference. Fault is reproducible. Simply open the attached file and go for export. (Note: I don't get the range of print/web/pre-press options that I had in version 1.) See dialog capture file. nTorbay_2023_3.pdf nTorbay_2023_3.afpub Quote
Hangman Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Hi @KennyA and welcome to the forums... There is something odd about the FX applied to the blue rectangle sitting over the chess piece image on teh front page that is causing the problem with the pdf export, it doesn't work in V1 either... The only workaround I can find is to copy the blue rectangle with the FX together with the chess pieces image into an A4 landscape Photo File with bleed using the same CMYK colour profile and then with both layers selected, right click and selected merge visible or merge selected to combine the two layers into one and then copy and paste the combined layer back into your Publisher file and either turn off the original blue rectangle with the FX and the Chess Piece layers or remove them completely... Doing that then allows you to export the file without issue... (see the attached pdf). Note: both the main chess piece image and the small chess piece image just below the 55th Torbay Chess Congress text are linked images which means I didn't have access to them so I've removed the latter from the exported pdf as it would have appeared as a low resolution blur.. What do you see when you click the Preset dropdown at the top of the PDF export window, does it not show the list of pdf presets? nTorbay_2023_3.pdf Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse
KennyA Posted March 10, 2023 Author Posted March 10, 2023 That's very helpful. Thanks. I'll follow your suggestions. The old trick of rebooting the PC brings back the pdf presets. Hangman 1 Quote
