David Gamble Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Hi All, I want to paste a layout from one document to a new one, but without importing/duplicating the attached text styles. Is there a way of turning this off? Thanks Dave Quote
v_kyr Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Did you already tried "Edit -> Paste without Format"? Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
David Gamble Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 Thanks, but unfortunately that imports text styles, too. Quote

I've just tried it again on my computer and the text pasted without Format was pasted without format. David Gamble Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 Hi and thanks for your input. Just to clarify: what I am pasting are a group of objects from one document to a new one. One of those objects is a text box which has text and paragraph styles attached to it. I am pasting with option-command-shift-V which is resulting in importing the text and paragraph styles attached to the text box; which I would like to be omitted. Quote
David Gamble Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) OK, it strips out the styles if you copy and paste (CMD-SHIFT-ALT-V) the text, but doesn't do the same if you copy and paste the object containing the text. Edited February 27, 2023 by David Gamble Quote
